After the great success of last year, when she organised the first ever “Natural Wine Fair”, Isabelle Legeron put together more than 170 artisan wine producers, (for a total of over 600 wines), a pop up shop, a pop up wine cinema, a historic location and great food stalls , to be on the road again with her next wine fair the “RAW” Fair. London, Brick Lane, 20-21st may 2012.

The Delicatessen, placed in the main road of a quiet Homerton, borough of Hackney, is a well worth visit.All the staff is very friendly and welcomoing.
Remy, the manager, is involved in the organisation of the Sunday market as well that take place on the main Chatsworth Road, where the Deli also is.
He selected 6 of our wines, we also promoted the selection with a fantastic tasting we held last February in a cool location not far from the shop.

Michele Ballarati and his wife Heidi are running a cute Italian restaurant called Pentolina, situated in Blythe road, right between Hammersmith and Kensington tube station.
Not even an year since it opened and it has already become a target for foodies and wine lovers, in fact, you can hardly find a table if you don’t book.
Highly rated, this small restaurant will make you feel very comfy, and even if not a huge place, tables are fairly displaced.
The environment is elegant, quite rustic with thick wood tables and a lot of ornaments, mirrors, lamps, drawings and a beautiful basement with a walk-in cellar that host very good names.

Michele, owner and head chef, has a great passion for wine, he designed the wine list with some classics and some not so obvious names , inviting and educating his customers to discover new wine makers and small production like our Cirò ‘A Vita, or our Col Fondo cloudy style for example.

Vini Italiani, a recent established wine shop dedicated to Italian wines in South Kensington, has chosen to promote our Natural range of Col Fondo wines!

Not only with a first supply but with an “opening” event to support our dedication to unfiltered wines and to celebrate our collaboration.
Col Fondo wines ( see our video HERE ) are in fact a range of Glera 100% natural sparkling wines, not fined, low in sulphites and bottle-refermented with no filtration and no added sugars, produced in the Venetian historic area of Prosecco.

Those wines, categorized as “Vino frizzante dei colli Trevigiani I.G.T.” are a true connection with our traditional wine-making history, and a full expression of the whole terroir of Prosecco in the north east of Italy.

Another score for our wines then, and if you’re visiting or living in the West-London area, we strongly recommend to visit Vini Italiani shop, where the highly qualified staff will be happy to talk you through the different wines and regions of Italy (with a list of over 500 labels).

Well, even in frenetic cities like London, there’s a bit or “rural life” if you really look through!
Hackney city farm is this, a rural spot that gives people the possibility of farming right in the middle of the city.

Along with the farm, a rustic restaurant is on site, called Frizzante, and his manager Eddy, after tasting our Col Fondo wine, an unfiltered prosecco-style wine re-fermented on the bottle, said: “this HAS to be in my wine list!”.

Could we say no?..
Thanks Eddy and Frizzante Restauran for pushing our natural philosophy. We also think our wines are just perfect as a coronation of the agriturismo’s menu of Frizzante Restaurant.

If you want a genuine kitchen and to experiment a tour in a farm but you don’t have time to reach the country side, just pop into Frizzante and you’ll forget you’re actually just in Hackney, in the middle of the busiest city of the planet.

He is the owner of this huge Italian delicatessen in Clerkenwell Road, in the borough of Islington: VENETICUS.

Veneticus delicatessen is a true piece of Italy, with every sort of typical Italian fresh made food available, from salads, to home made lasagna, to charcuterie, to 100% arabica coffe, even to a whole section of fresh patisserie and ice cream, this thanks to the bakery and patisserie hiding in the basement of the shop, where chefs are working all day with passion and love for what they are doing.

Now,you’ll be able to find our Col Fondo wines too, to go, or to stay at the table while dining.
There are as well a bunch of information you can read about our wines, and since Oscar is storing four of them, we strongly recommend you to try them all and find your own favourite!

Ever wondered who took over from the historic “A. Ferrari Delicatessen” (now “Angel Deli”) in Angel?
Yes, that noisy old butcher in the middle of Cross street?
Piero did it, and now totally owns it, running it with his wife Rozanna.

Piero only kept the historic ’70 shelves and roof, then totally renew the product range and menu making the old deli now looking more like a small restaurant / bar style with the addition of a couple of fridges filled with fresh charcuterie, cheeses, freshly made soups and lasagna, and lots of cakes and fresh snacks.

You can still go there and shop lots of high quality goods from Italy, but also you can sit down and enjoy the genuine kitchen.
Piero in fact has a very long experience as chef in many Italian restaurants, and is determined to turn it into a even more welcoming “Ristorante”.

Angel Deli is definitely pushing Selezione Zanotto’s philosophy, selling 9 of our wines, and our Olive oil from Frantoio Montedoro.

If you’re around Angel looking for a god bottle to take away stop there and enjoy the selection, but if you have time to take it easy, sit down and order some freshly home-made lasagna, speech-less!
